This blog gets the most hits from Google searches on “New Williams (treadle) sewing machine,” and people who read my post about my New Williams often request the PDF file of the scan I made of the instruction booklet that came with my machine, so here it is:

I just bought a New Williams sewing machine from an antique store and was thrilled to find your instruction book. Thank you. My other antique machines are Singers and this one looks very different. I’m quite sure I would never have figured out the operation on my own.
Thank you so much for sharing this manual. I was near tears trying to locate any information on this machine.
I just purchased a New Williams treadle. When it arrived, I discovered that it had been “gutted”. No parts on the underside. I have been going crazy trying to find parts to rescue this beauty. I am heartbroken. She is really in very good cosmetic shape. If anyone out there can help, with advice, direction, parts, or an old junker that I can salvage it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
My treadle sewing machine is a Golden Star by A.G. Mason manufactured by M.F.G. Co., Cleveland, Ohio U.S.A. I’m interested in any info for it and especially a manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so very much for your download. I too have a Williams machine and a rather tattered booklet. I was just about to begin the process of copying mine when I found yours so you have saved me much work. They are a lovely machine and I am gratified to see so many folks treasuring them!
