I won two Second Place ribbons at the Stormont County Fair!
One for my zucchini loaf with raisins:
I am particularly pleased with this one because it’s my own recipe, not one from a book or website.
And one for my peanut butter cookies:
One of the judges congratulated me particularly on this placing because, apparently, it is a very competitive category!
Excellent result! Is there a WI where you live? 🙂
There are four WIs in the county. The closest one to me is in Finch, about 30 mins drive away. I think I’ll stick with the Quilting Guild for now 😉
Hurrah! congratulations!
Is there a link to the cookie recipe?
The cookie recipe is from Joy of Cooking I will email it to you.
Hurrah! I am so thrilled about this! Congratulations.
(I must admit to having looked at the Brome Fair competition categories this past spring to see if there was a handspinning category. Alas, there is not.)
There is a category for “Pair of mittens from homespun yarn” in the Upper Canada Village Fall Fair. Kinda late for this year (entries by Sept. 16th) but there’s always next year…
That’s fabulous news! Congratulations!
How many judges were involved? It looks like only a few bites were taken from just one of the cookies!
That’s fantastic!! Congratulations. 🙂
Congratulations! You rocked those baked goods!
Yay! Congrats on the wins!
Congratulations!
