There’s nothing like being snug and warm when it’s cold and blowy outside, especially if there’s something yummy-smelling simmering on the stove, and I have a few minutes to sit and do some knitting…
The last of our Christmas turkey simmering for stock:
A pair of socks I knit for my three-month-old nephew:
Our kitten Whiskey, in action:
Hard to say what’s cuter — the kitty or the socks! (I think it’s Whiskey by a whisker!)
They are all — including the stock — about cozy!
Happy 2011 to all of you from all of us!

. . . although, when I first read the title of your post, I mistakenly read it as “snug and war.” (Tolstoy’s less successful sequel to War and Peace, perhaps?)

Go kitten! Rawr!
Hmmm Xmas Turkey simmering…one of my favorite things!
Holy cats! That kitty looks like a younger version of Canelle, Jess’ cat! So cute!
